In order to facilitate the commerce graduate of in and around Tinsukia
town for M. Com study, Tinsukia Commerce College authority appealed to
the Director, DDE, Dibrugarh University on 15.07.02 to accord
permission to start a contact centre at College premises and in
response to that, permission was granted by the Board of Management,
DDE, Dibrugarh University on 11.12.02. Accordingly a MoU was signed
and Dr. Purnendu Shekhar Das of this college was entrusted with the
charge of the contact centre designating him as the Co-ordinator of
the "TINCOMCC".
In response to our appeal dated 07.02.03 to grant
permission to introduce Distance Education in five more subjects, the
University granted permission in four more subject viz. M.A. in
Political Science, Economics, Assamese and M.Sc. in Mathematics.
